You’ll Never See Bradley Cooper Looking More Goth Than He Does in This ‘Crow’ Concept Art

We were never particularly excited about Bradley Cooper starring in a reboot of "The Crow." We've grown to like him as an actor, but he seemed a little too frat-boy handsome to play Eric Draven, the gritty rock star who gets murdered and comes back for vengeance. Not that it matters now -- the whole project has fallen apart -- but over the weekend some conceptual art for the reboot got around that suggests it might have looked pretty cool. But, you know, it's concept art: Who knows?

Shock Till You Drop unearthed the artwork from Diego Latorre, a Spanish illustrator. (At that time, "The Crow" reboot was gonna be helmed by "28 Weeks Later" Spanish director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.) Latorre told STYD, "The Crow images published are very early production sketches and are based in my own visual interpretation of the character and not necessarily in Apaches Entertainment and director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo vision." Still it's fun to see Cooper in all these different guises, especially with the punk-like hairdos. (Our favorite, though, is probably the one of Cooper wearing Slash's hat.)

Again, you shouldn't take concept art as any definitive idea of what a movie would have been like. (It's one guy's interpretation of what another guy told him he wanted the movie to be.) But this artwork at least makes us believe Cooper as a dark avenging angel. Too bad it's too late now.
