Quentin Tarantino
Quentin Tarantino Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction" was considered revolutionary when it was released in 1994, winning him an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and earning him a nomination for Best Director, but since then Tarantino, with his often tongue-in-cheek, self-referential style, has not had as much luck. He didn't receive his second directing bid until "Inglourious Basterds" in 2009, and this year he could be in the running again for his spaghetti western "Django Unchained."
