Zack Snyder Defends Aquaman’s Involvement in ‘Batman v Superman’

Zack Snyder clearly doesn’t play favorites among his superhero stars.

The director called into a local Detroit radio station on Friday morning to defend Aquaman, indirectly teasing his involvement in the upcoming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Snyder was listening to 97.1 The Ticket’s Stoney and Bill radio show while driving to “Batman v Superman’s” Detroit set when he heard “disparaging” remarks about the King of the Seven Seas. The hosts were questioning why Aquaman is involved in the blockbuster.

Zack said Aquaman’s cool because his trident could “cut the flesh of Superman if they came in contact … he’s super strong.”

However, Snyder didn’t confirm the months of speculation that Aquaman will be making an appearance in “Batman v Superman,” even though Jason Momoa has signed on for the role.

“It’s not to say that he’s in the movie or anything like that but … he has the potential to be bad ass,” Snyder said.

The pic recently changed its release date to March 25, 2016 to avoid a box office showdown with “Captain America 3.”
