Walt Disney Studios Promotes Lylle Breier to Lead Promotions, Partnerships and Special Events

Walt Disney Studios has promoted Lylle Breier to lead promotions, partnerships and special events.

The role expands Breier’s duties at the company, for which she has overseen event strategies across all of Disney’s motion picture brands, including Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Marvel, Touchstone, Disneynature and DreamWorks’ live-action releases.

As part of the title change, film-related promotions and nonbroadcast synergy activities will now be centralized under Breier’s leadership. That includes oversight of the studio’s field operations, including screenings and stunt marketing. She will continue to manage worldwide events for the studio as well. That includes the rollout of the studio’s next tentpole, a live-action retelling of “Cinderella.”

“This is an extremely talented group of people, and this new structure will enable us to better serve our partners and optimize our strengths and resources,” said Breier, who has spent the past 25 years at Disney, working in various areas of the film marketing and distribution. “We are very excited about the wealth of opportunities ahead.”

Breier, whose new title is senior VP, global marketing partnerships and strategic alliances, promotions, synergy and special events for the Walt Disney Studios, reports to Ricky Strauss, president of marketing at the Walt Disney Studios.

“Lylle combines strategic acumen and creative insight with a vast knowledge of the Walt Disney Company and longstanding industry relationships,” Strauss said. “She is the perfect choice to lead this newly integrated and broad-reaching department within marketing.”
