UFC Champion Ronda Rousey's Latest Movie Project Revealed

Women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey was mum about the film project she’d be working on before her next fight following her 14-second UFC 184 win over Cat Zingano on Saturday.

“I don’t know what I’m supposed to say about it yet. Yes, I’m going to make a movie. But I’m not going to say anything about it,” said the 28-year-old women’s titleholder during the UFC 184 post-fight press conference.

It was part of a deal that she made with UFC president Dana White prior to fighting Zingano.

On Monday, Variety revealed the name of the movie, whom Rousey will co-star with, and the producer. Rousey will star alongside “The Raid” and upcoming Star Wars Episode VII actor Iko Uwais in the film “Mile 22,” being produced by Peter Berg.

The film is an action-thriller that centers on the relationship between a CIA field officer and an Indonesian policeman who are forced to work together. Graham Roland penned the script and WME Global is in talks to finance the film.

Rousey made her big screen debut last summer in “The Expendables 3″ and appears in this year’s “Furious 7″ and “Entourage.” She is also attached to the Warner Bros. adaptation of “The Athena Project.”

“Mile 22″ is set to begin filming in May.
