Sundance 2013: TWC's Radius Acquires Drama 'Concussion'

The Hollywood Reporter

The Weinstein Co.'s Radius label has acquired Concussion, the film debut from writer/director Stacie Passon, for about $600,000, according to sources.

A small theatrical release is planned, as well as a day-and-date VOD roll-out.

The film follows lesbian housewife Abby who, after a blow to the head from her son's baseball, walks around her suburban life with a desire for something more.

Starring Robin Weigert (who recently appeared in American Horror Story: Asylum), Maggie Siff, and Johnathan Tchaikovsky, Concussion premiered as part of Sundance's U.S. Dramatic Competition Category at Library Center Theatre on Jan. 19.
