Stephen Colbert’s ‘Late Show’ Goes Live For Election Eve And Post-Mortem Wednesday

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has decided to broadcast live shows on CBS the Monday and Wednesday bookending Election Day, Tuesday, November 8.

Monday, Nov. 7 and Wednesday, Nov. 9. Colbert will host his show live from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York, on CBS. On Tuesday, Colbert will cover election results live for premium cable network Showtime, starting at 11 PM ET, 8 PM PT.

Live Late Show broadcasts following recent presidential debates, and the Veep debate, did well, ratings-wise. Colbert’s most recent live show, posst-Debate 3, clocked 3.08M viewers – the late-night program’s largest Wednesday crowd since September 19, 2015.

Trumph, the Insult Comic Dog will be on hand for election hangover day, as will Miles Teller and Neil deGrasse Tyson; Don Cheadle, Katherine Waterston, and Drive-By Trucker guest on election eve.
