Screen Media Acquires North American Rights to ‘Running Wild’

Screen Media Films has acquired North American rights to the documentary “Running Wild: The Life of Dayton O. Hyde.”

The doc centers on modern cowboy and activist Hyde, who manages a South Dakota horse sanctuary. Over the past 25 years, Hyde has rescued 500 mustangs from wild horse roundups.

Screen Media plans for a day-and-date release on VOD and in theaters nationwide in October.

Suzanne Mitchell produced and directed the pic, which shot over an 11-year period.

Suzanne Blech and Seth Needle brokered the deal on behalf of Screen Media. Peter Broderick represented the filmmakers.
