Scott Eastwood and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Join ‘Suicide Squad’

Scott Eastwood and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje have joined Warner Bros.’ “Suicide Squad,” a source close to the project told Variety.

Sources could not confirm who they would be playing, but Latino Review is reporting that Eastwood will cameo as Scott Trevor, a character who would later become a love interest in the “Wonder Woman” movie. As for Akinnuoye-Agbaje, the Wrap, which first reported the casting, says he will play Killer Croc in the pic.

Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney and Joel Kinnaman are set to star in the pic with David Ayer directing. Warners had no comment on the castings.

Based on the DC comicbook, the story centers on the team of supervillains who are given a chance at redemption by the government. The catch: Their mission will probably kill them all.

Charles Roven and Richard Suckle are producing. Production is set to begin in April.

The film will bow on Aug. 5, 2016.

Eastwood can be seen next in Fox 2000’s “The Longest Ride.” He is repped by UTA.

Akinnuoye-Agbaje was most recently seen in Sony’s “Annie” and just wrapped production on “Trumbo” starring Bryan Cranston.
