Scoop: Will Forte Comedy Last Man on Earth Ordered to Series at Fox
Will Forte‘s on a roll.
The Saturday Night Live alum, currently riding a wave of acclaim for his role in the Oscar nominated film Nebraska, received more good news from Fox on Wednesday: His comedy project Last Man on Earth has been ordered to series, TVLine has learned.

Created by and starring Forte, the single-camera sitcom finds the comic actor playing — yep — the last man on Earth. (I’m guessing there’s more to the premise, but Fox is being super-secretive.)
The network is eyeing a Midseason 2015 launch for the series, which is being exec produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street), who will also direct the premiere.
