Rosta and Leigh Anne Gardner, SVP Print, Online Design and On-Air Design, are heading out. The moves come a week-plus before the premiere of E!’s first scripted series, the Elizabeth Hurley drama The Royals, and two months ahead of NBCUniversal Cable’s upfront.

“To more fully align the E! and Esquire Marketing department we have restructured the team and as a result Leigh Anne Gardner and Tim Rosta are leaving the company,” NBCUniversal said in a statement. “We thank them for their contributions and wish them the best.”

E! has been in a restructuring mode since the departure late last fall of president Suzanne Kolb when Esquire president Adam Stotsky expanded his role to also oversee E! Entertainment as General Manager. Subsequently, E! head of marketing Jen Neal also was given a dual role, overseeing marketing of both E! and Esquire. There have been a number of executive departures as part of the combining of the two operations. Rosta had been at E! for two years, while Gardner had worked with Kolb for a long time.
