Oprah's Ratings Challenged OWN Gets New Shows

Oprah Winfrey -- who recently acknowledged that early mistakes led to sagging ratings at her OWN network -- is hoping that a slate of new shows will boost the numbers and breath new life into the cable channel.

The network announced Thursday that among the new shows ordered for its prime time lineup are a game show in which people answer are given a quiz to win prize money (Are You Normal, America?), a docu-series about a couple with sextuplets (Six Little McGhees) and a talk show hosted by self-help expert Iyanla Vanzant (Iyanla Fix My Life).

In addition there is Elura and Michele Take Staten Island -- in which two former prosecutors "tell it like it is" -- and Married to the Army: Alaska, an unscripted series about the wives of deployed soldiers living in Alaska.

In addition the network announced it is renewing Oprah Presents Master Class and Welcome to Sweetie Pie's, which features Robbie Montgomery -- former backup singer for Ike and Tina Turner and the Beatles -- and her family as they operate the famous St. Louis eatery called Sweetie Pie's.
