Lionsgate Hires Amy Dunning as Music Chief

Lionsgate has hired veteran executive Amy Dunning as head of music for its motion picture group. She will have responsibility over all creative and production aspects of music for Lionsgate’s film scores, songs and soundtracks.

Dunning will work on “The Divergent Series: Allegiant — Part 1,” “Gods of Egypt,” “Now You See Me 2,” “Deepwater Horizon,” “LaLa Land,” “Power Rangers,” “The Odyssey,” “Robin Hood: Origins” and “Monopoly.”

“The soundtrack and music in a motion picture tell a story and lead the audience on an emotional journey that is integral to the success of any film,” said Erik Feig, co-president of the motion picture group. “Lionsgate is in a period of tremendous growth as we broaden our slate and expand our production of current and potential franchises, star-driven branded properties and targeted releases for a broad range of audiences.”

Prior to joining Lionsgate, Dunning served as senior VP at Downtown Music Publishing. She also served as VP of film music at 20th Century Fox, overseeing music for “Juno,” “500 Days of Summer,” “Water for Elephants,” “Chronicle,” “The Heat,” “The Wolverine” and “Life of Pi.”
