Larry David HBO Movie Lands Jon Hamm, Danny McBride, Kate Hudson, Michael Keaton, Bill Hader and More

Larry David's new movie for HBO isn't connected to "Curb Your Enthusiasm," but will have a "Curb"-like all-star cast including Jon Hamm, Kate Hudson, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, Michael Keaton, Eva Mendes, Amy Ryan, Phillip Baker Hall, and JB Smoove.

In the movie "Clear History," which David wrote, he will play Nathan Flomm, a former marketing executive at a start-up electric car company who loses his fortune due to a petty fight with his boss, HBO said Thursday.

Ten years after the falling out, Nathan, whose marriage is ruined, lives on a small island off the coast of Massachusetts under the new name of Rolly DaVore. But when his former boss shows up to renovate his summer mansion, Nathan vows revenge.

McBride, star of HBO's "Eastbound and Down," will play Nathan's best friend. Ryan plays his ex-girlfriend, who holds an explicit secret.

Hamm will play Will Haney, the founder of the electric car company who has a contentious relationship with Flomm.

Keaton plays Joe Stumpo, the erratic and eccentric operator of a quarry. Hader will play Rags, Stumpo's friend and henchman.

Mendes plays Jennifer, who takes an off-handed suggestion from Nathan too seriously.

Hall, who appeared on "Curb" as a doctor who is sensitive about phone etiquette, will play McKenzie, the foreman of a local construction project who is duped into Nathan.

Smooth, another "Curb" vet, plays the ex-boyfriend of a local woman who blames Nathan for the relationship's end.

As previously announced, Greg Mottola is directing.

"Curb" has also featured a wide range of celebrity guests, including Michael J. Fox and Ricky Gervais last season.
