Kelly Clarkson Lands No. 9 Spot on IMDB's Worst Movies of All Time

The Wrap

Kelly Clarkson may be one of the highest selling artists from "American Idol," but she's also the star of one of the worst movies ever made, "From Justin to Kelly." At least according to IMDb readers, anyway.

The musical rom-com was ranked by IMDb as the ninth worst movie on their "Bottom 100" list, with users giving the film a 1.9 out of 10 rating.

The 2003 box office flop starred Clarkson as a Texas waitress who goes on spring break in Fort Lauderdale and meets a Pennsylvania college student played by "American Idol" first season runner-up Justin Guarini. The pair falls in love through a series of song and dance routines that were so poorly received, the 2004 Razzie Awards honored the production with a Governor's Award for "Distinguished Under-Achievement in Choreography." The following year, the stinker was awarded the Golden Raspberry for "Worst Musical of Our First 25 Years."

The good news is "From Justin to Kelly" wasn't the worst of the worst. The 2008 comedies "Disaster Movie" and "The Hottie & the Nottie" both landed at the bottom of IMDb's barrel with users ranking hem as number one and number two worst movies, respectively.

"Disaster Movie" -- a parody from two of the writers from the "Scary Movie" franchise -- promised "your favorite movies are going to be destroyed," but didn't do any destruction at the box office, grossing ony $14 million domestically.

"The Hottie" starred former reality queen and Hollywood socialite Paris Hilton. What ever star power the Hilton Hotel heiress had at the time couldn't help the comedy rise above a  $28,000 gross. And producers shouldn't have been surprised because Hilton's 2006 comedy, "Pledge This," only grossed $1.5 million worldwide. Even less surprising? "Pledge This" is ranked as the fifth worst movie on IMDb's "Bottom 100" list.

The bottom ten movies on IMDb -- which have been declared worse than "Troll 2," "3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain," "Glitter" and the "Son of the Mask -- are below:

1. "Distaster Movie (2008) 2. "The Hottie & the Nottie" (2008) 3. "Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2" (2004) 4. "Manos: The Hands of Fate" (1966)  5. "Pledge This!" (2006)  6. "Anne B. Real" (2003)  7. "Die Hard Dracula" (1998) 8. "Birdemic: Shock and Terror" (2010) 9. "From Justin to Kelly" (2003) 10. "Going Overboard" (1989)
