Jon Huddle Leaving UTA To Start Fourth Wall Management

EXCLUSIVE: Longtime UTA agent Jon Huddle is leaving to start his own management firm, Fourth Wall Management. The exit is an amicable one, and Huddle’s company will rep film and TV writers and directors, featuring those he repped at the agency. Huddle’s colleague Halle Lucas is also leaving UTA to join him. Huddle spent a decade at UTA, after starting in the William Morris Agency mailroom and then ICM.

Huddle has a big list of working writers and directors whom he’ll manage at the new venture, and the agency expects them to remain in the UTA fold. They include Spider-Man: Homecoming writers Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley; Beauty And The Beast and The Huntsman scribe Evan Spiliotopoulos, Peter Rabbit and Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day scribe Rob Lieber; Family Guy writer David Goodman; Shel Silverstein and Naruto writers Chris Shafer & Paul Vicknair; Greenleaf exec producer Clement Virgo; Goon helmer Michael Dowse; Menace 2 Society scribe Tyger Williams; The New Edition Story writer Abdul Williams; Predators scribe Alex Litvak; Keanu, Key & Peele and Community writer Alex Rubens; Late Show With Stephen Colbert writer Paul Dinello; Fink writer Kristen Buckley; and Fred Wolf, the writer-director of Drunk Parents and writer of Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2.

Huddle and the agency confirmed the move, which is being announced now internally. “The decision to do this now was not an easy one,” Huddle said. “I think whatever your career is, the constant question you must ask yourself is whether it’s time to pivot or persevere. I’ve really only known one way of representing clients and that’s to be in the trenches alongside them. By starting Fourth Wall, I now get to pivot, doing more of what comes naturally.”

Said David Kramer, a Managing Director of UTA: “Jon has been a tireless advocate for clients, a supportive colleague and a terrific friend during his 10 years at UTA. Those same qualities will no doubt make his new firm a big success, and we’re excited to support him in his new venture.”
