Jennifer Lawrence, Ron Howard Huddling On ‘Zelda’ Project

Jennifer Lawrence has been circling Ron Howard’s high-profile development project about F. Scott Fitzgerald’s wife Zelda Fitzgerald since at least August of this year. Zelda had been on the Annapurna slate, and is now set up with Allison Shearmur Productions and Imagine Entertainment, with Lawrence and her producing partner Justine Ciarrocchi also expected to get producing credits along with Brian Grazer. Emma Frost penned the biopic about the socialite and muse (Scott and Zelda met at a dance, an encounter later written into his The Great Gatsby). Later in life, Zelda (who was a writer as well) became mentally ill and died in the South. The filmmakers are working to get financing now, which shouldn’t be hard given the talent attached but they do normally require higher fees.
