Drea De Matteo’s Apartment Destroyed in New York City Building Collapse

Actress Drea De Matteo saw her New York City apartment destroyed Thursday in a building collapse caused by an explosion and subsequent fire, according to ABC News.

De Matteo’s home in the East Village was leveled by a seven-alarm fire that injured more than 20 people.

The actress, known for her roles on “The Sopranos” and “Sons of Anarchy,” posted photos of the building engulfed in flames on her Instagram account.

She also posted an image of the collapsed building, noting that she had lived there for 22 years. New York City officials blamed the destruction on a gas leak that occurred while plumbing and gas repairs were being done on the building that exploded.
