‘Chicago Fire’s Taylor Kinney Lights Up ‘The Forest’

EXCLUSIVE: Chicago Fire‘s Taylor Kinney will spend his series hiatus starring in The Forest, the Jason Zada-directed thriller for Focus Features and Lava Bear. He’ll star alongside Game Of ThronesNatalie Dormer in a film that is based on an original idea by David Goyer, and incorporates the mythology of Japan’s Aokigahara Forest.

Scripted by Sarah Cronwell and Nick Antosca, the film shoots in Serbia in May. Dormer plays an American woman who ventures into the legendary forest in search of her missing twin sister. Despite being urged to stay on the path, she enters the forest and is tormented by the souls of the dead who prey on anyone who wanders the forest.

Lava Bear is producing with Goyer. Kinney is about to wrap season three of the NBC drama and his recent pic credits include Zero Dark Thirty, The Other Woman and he’ll next be seen in Rock The Kasbah and the Daryl Wein-directed indie Consumed. Kinney is repped by Gersh and Gotham/Principal
