Scott Pictures Launches Sales Arm with Natalie Portman's Latest
Scott Steindorff's Scott Pictures is teaming with Exclusive Media will handle the international sales and servicing for all Scott Pictures’ theatrical feature film productions under this new separate Scott Pictures International label. The first film to be announced is the Natalie Portman starrer Jane Got a Gun to be directed by Lynne Ramsay. The film centers on a woman who must ask an ex-lover for help in order to save her outlaw husband from a gang who are out to kill him. The new outfit will produce between 3 to 5 features per year.

Scott's family has set up a scholarship that will help future generations of filmmakers through the American Film Institute. Scott, who jumped to his death August 19th, was laid to rest in a private ceremony Friday. AFI was founded in 1967 to "preserve the legacy of US film heritage and nurture the next generation of storytellers." The Guardian reports.
