Ender's Game(2013)- User Reviews

Visuals surprisingly lacking in imagination

I just watched the film. The script follows the novel well, and the acting was fine -- but the battle scenes, the Formics, and Formics world and even Earth's destruction scenes follow the novel description too closely. For crying out loud! The original story was written in the 1970's and the book in 1985. Why follow the same exact battle-formations described in the book?

There were "The Matrix" and "Avatar" along the way, right?

I expected more from an Oscar winning director (Tsotsi), but then again, the director of `Tsotsi'? For `Ender's Game?'

ALSO: IT WASN'T CLEAR TO THOSE THAT DIDN'T READ THE BOOK THAT ALL OF COMMAND SCHOOL "SIMULATIONS" WERE PART OF THE WAR. ALSO THE SUBDUED CELEBRATION BY COMMAND AT THE END WAS DARN STUPID, WRITTEN BY SOMEONE THAT DOES NOT UNDERSTAND CONFLICT
