Walk Down Memory Lane: Andy Griffith In Brad Paisley’s ‘Waitin’ On A Woman’

Millions of people who grew up loving Sheriff Andy Taylor, Barney Fife, Opie, and Aunt Bee were saddened to hear of the death of beloved actor Andy Griffith, who left us on Tuesday at the age of 86.

One of those people is most surely country superstar Brad Paisley, who chose Griffith to appear in the video for his hit single "Waitin' On A Woman." Griffith plays the older man who notes he'll wait for his wife in heaven in the heartwarming clip, which won a CMA Award for best video in 2008.

Paisley has noted that working with Griffith was one of the greatest moments of his career. Here's the video in honor of Griffith's own long, impressive, and iconic career.

As another tribute to Griffith, don't forget Rascal Flatts' 2003 tune "Mayberry," which references the fictional North Carolina town where the Andy Griffith Show took place.

Enjoy--and if you find need a box of tissues, don't be embarrassed. We're right there with you. Rest in peace, Andy, and thanks for all the memories.
