Will Smith is donning the dark suit and shades of the Men in Black for a third time this summer. He'll be joined by his old partner, Agent K, played once again by Tommy Lee Jones. But he'll also share the screen with the young version of his old partner, played by Josh Brolin.

In early photos Brolin sure looked like a young Jones, but in the brand-new trailer premiere you get the first chance to see and hear just how pitch-perfect Brolin's impersonation is. Watch the exclusive trailer premiere for "Men in Black 3," only on Yahoo! Movies.

Josh Brolin had previously appeared in two films with Tommy Lee Jones: "No Country for Old Men" and "In the Valley of Elah," both in 2007. But they actually never shared a scene in either film. Still, having been around the real deal helped Brolin develop his characterization. When MTV's Splash Page asked Brolin if he had been studying Jones's films, he answered, "I feel like I spend too much time with Tommy anyway. But now I'm looking at it from a different perspective."

Beyond the physical resemblance, there are several reasons why Brolin makes the ideal choice to play Jones's character. They both have roots in Texas: Jones was born there, and Brolin's mother was a native. They both spend their free time on the ranches they own. The only problem with Brolin playing a younger Tommy Lee Jones is he's really not that much younger. Jones was born in 1946, so in 1969 he was only 23 years old. Brolin is currently 43, a full two decades older than Jones was at the time. Though, it seems the movie laughs off the discrepancy with a joke. (Will Smith's Agent J tells Agent K, "You've got some city miles on you.")

Brolin and Jones aren't the only actors playing two versions of the same role. Academy Award winner Emma Thompson plays Agent J's supervisor, Oh, and Alice Eve ("She's Out of My League") will be her younger self in the 1969 scenes. And in a recent email interview with Yahoo! Movies, Will Smith was asked if his character would have a young counterpart as well. He answered with a slightly cryptic, "I could answer that question... but then I would be forced to neuralyze you. SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT!"
