The film, which just released its first trailer, is a remake of a 2008 French film of the same name. In the American version, Cyrus plays Lola, a high school student struggling to find the right balance between studies and social life. According to the trailer, "LOL" is about "breaking free, and the time in all of our lives when you discover what you stand for."
The coming-of-age story looks to focus on the communication gap between parents and kids, and it's sure to include plenty of romance. In addition to Cyrus and Moore, the film features Ashley Greene from "Twilight" and Douglas Booth from "The Pillars of the Earth" and the upcoming "Romeo and Juliet."
"LOL," text-speak for "laughing out loud," hits theaters sometime this year. What are your thoughts? Is "LOL" a must-see or a must-skip?
