'How to Train Your Dragon 2' Clip Puts Quidditch to Shame

Quidditch is merely child's play.

In this new clip from DreamWorks Animation's "How to Train Your Dragon 2," we see that the kids from the first movie have grown up but they can still have fun. Taking place five years after the events of the original, the young Vikings who were frightened and intimidated by the fire-breathers are now experts at flying on them, which they demonstrate with a very unique sort of contest.

In an event that combines racing, polo, and basketball, the dragon riders are split into teams (identified by the paint they wear) and circle the island of Berk. The objective is to score points by dropping a ball — or in this case, a live sheep — into their team's basket. But like the super-valuable Golden Snitch in Harry Potter's favorite game, the dragon riders can score extra points if they bag the special black sheep. That inspires Astrid (voiced once again by America Ferrera) to leap from her own dragon Stormfly, steal the sheep, and swoop in for the win.

It's not the only new innovation in the film. As we saw in the teaser trailer, Hiccup (voiced by Jay Baruchel) has built himself a glider suit so he can soar separately from his faithful dragon companion, Toothless. Plus, the sequel sports new lands, new threats, and plenty of new species of dragons, along with the discovery of Hiccup's long-lost mother, voiced by Oscar winner Cate Blanchett.
