What's The Story

Take a not-at-all-historically-correct romp through Biblical times in this Pythonesque survey of human history as seen through the eyes of two traveling bums. Zed and Oh are too lazy to be of any use to their village as hunters, so they are banished and forced to wander the world. Along the way they meet such epic characters as Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, and Abraham. Will this pair of mismatched losers ever find a place to settle down, or for that matter, a girl to settle down with?

Three Good Reasons

  • 1The film is directed by Harold Ramis, the legend behind such comedy classics as Caddyshack and Groundhog Day.
  • 2Everybody loves a "road trip" movie, even if that road trip happens to be on foot.
  • 3The awesome cast includes Olivia Wilde ("13" from House), and funnymen David Cross and Paul Rudd as Cain and Abel.

Bet You Didn't Know

Jack Black is famous for playing less-than-bright characters, but he's not as dumb as he looks. He is the son of two rocket scientists (literally!) and attended a school for the gifted. More about Year One on Yahoo! Movies
