What's The Story

Change is in the air for the Ice Age gang. Manny and Ellie are expecting a bouncing baby mammoth, and Diego is suffering from a feline identity crisis. Just when they think life couldn't get any more complicated, they discover that deep below familiar layers of snow and ice lies a hidden tropical world populated by -- you guessed it -- dinosaurs. In this alien landscape, new dangers await them, as well as a new ally in the form of a dashing, dino-hunting weasel named Buck.

Three Good Reasons

  • 1Combine the success of the first two Ice Age movies with the magic of RealD 3D, and you have a recipe for a movie that's guaranteed to keep kids glued to their seats.
  • 2Say it with me: "One-eyed swashbuckling weasel." If that doesn't make you giggle, wait 'til you hear the Xtreme rodent voiced by Simon Pegg of Hot Fuzz and Star Trek fame.
  • 3At last, acorn-obsessed Scrat will find something new to obsess over: a fuzzy femme fatale named Scratté.

Bet You Didn't Know

Ice ages tend to last around 100,000 years, with "interglacial" periods of warmer weather that last around 10,000 years in between. We're now about 10,500 years into the current interglacial, so you might want to start storing up acorns. More about Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs on Yahoo! Movies
