What's The Story
The story is what exactly what you'd expect when Sacha Baron Cohen is on the loose. Unfortunate Americans get caught with their pants down (and sometimes with Cohen's pants down) repeatedly and mercilessly as Cohen travels across the country posing as Bruno, a flamboyantly gay Austrian model on a quest to find himself. Along the way he sickens homophobes, embarrasses celebrities, and names his adopted black baby "O.J."
Three Good Reasons
- 1If you loved Borat, we had you at "Sacha Baron Cohen."
- 2If you didn't love Borat, you might get a kick out of watching a male model attempt to seduce Ron Paul, traumatize a group of homophobic macho men, or join the Alabama National Guard.
- 3The movie is seasoned with dashes of old-fashioned slapstick as well, such as Bruno's escapades in an all-Velcro outfit at a fashion show.
Bet You Didn't Know
Have you ever been watching Sacha Baron Cohen's outrageous antics and wondered, "What does his family think of this?" Turns out, they love it. In fact, when "Borat" opened, his 91-year-old grandmother in Haifa, Israel went to a midnight screening. Afterward, she called her grandson at 4 a.m. to talk about her favorite scenes.
