What's The Story
Special Agent Roy Clayton of the FBI likes to play by the rules, but he's about to find out that between moral night and day is a murky, perilous twilight. When the CIA and the FBI begin to work together to unravel an international conspiracy, the spotlight falls on Samir Horn, an American Muslim and former soldier with apparent connections to any number of terrorist operations. Agent Clayton becomes consumed with discovering the truth about Horn -- is he a villain, an undercover hero, or something in between?
Three Good Reasons
- 1 Don Cheadle blew audiences away in Crash and Hotel Rwanda, but Samir Horn may be his most intriguing role yet.
- 2 The original idea for this story came from none other than comic/philosopher Steve Martin. Martin's brilliance, as people are finally discovering, is not limited to his comedy.
- 3 Not only is late summer ideal for a serious action thriller, this one is particularly well timed. America is more than ready to see a Muslim character portrayed with depth and dignity.
Bet You Didn't Know
Is it possible this whole movie idea came up at a jam session? Because star Don Cheadle plays the sax, co-star Jeff Daniels has released two albums of his music, Steve Martin has mastered the banjo, Guy Pearce sings and plays three instruments, and director Jeffrey Nachmanoff accompanied his singer/songwriter brother Dave on the album "Threads of Time."
