What's The Story
Poor Robert "Fish" Fishman just hasn't been the same since the 80's glam-metal band Vesuvius kicked him out and went on to become the biggest thing since Motley Crüe. So when his nephew Matt needs a new drummer for his emo band, Fish seizes the chance to rock out once again. A few minor complications: for starters, he doesn't know emo from Elmo, and there's also the fact that his new guitarist's mom
is a smoking hottie. Will Fish reel in the girl and fulfill his rock and roll dreams?
Three Good Reasons
- 1 Dwight rocks out!! What could be more entertaining than watching Rainn Wilson of "The Office" dispense with the suit, let his hair down (check out the wig!), and thrash around behind a drum set?
- 2 You loved School of Rock, and you love to watch an aging rock god wannabe reclaim his shattered self-esteem by shamelessly using kids to stage his comeback.
- 3 Pete Best will be making a cameo as himself. For those not familiar with the story, Best was kicked out of a band called The Beatles, who then went on to sell a few albums and do songs for Nike commericals.
Bet You Didn't Know
Even in its heyday, "hair metal" was considered something of a joke by most of the music industry. So much so that when Motley Crüe's "Girls, Girls, Girls" reached the top sales spot one week in 1987, Billboard refused to acknowledge it and put Whitney Houston in the #1 spot in the charts instead.
