The art museum is so-so, but the natural history portion is outstanding considering the size of Anchorage. Also go to the Alaskan Native Heritage Center after if you're interested in that aspect of Alaska.
I had a wonderful experience at the Museum, I love there exhibits.
Gives a real good example of how Alaska has changed and grown since it's founding. Also, you learn about the history of the natives.
