I love this theater for the price if nothing else. With a family of 6 I was looking at $75.00 to see Avatar together. Not gonna' happen. We'll just wait till the Carmike gets it. Much more reasonable.
I'm only 13, my dad and I go to this theater every Tuesday night where they have their great $1 deal. The place is not very clean, but it's not like there is moldy popcorn and spilled soda on the floor! Sometimes I will say it's annoying when teenagers yack back and forth on the phone, or to the person next to them. But this is everywhere and something you can't avoid. I have no problem waiting 90 days unless it's a really really good movie, then my dad and I will go to Vestavia or Patton Creek. The point is, this place is affordable, and close by.
Going to the dollar movie is getting to be my husband and my "date night" on Tuesday nights. Sometimes we watch 2 movies in a row, popcorn and drink for under $10! Can't beat that! Thanks Carmike!
My fam and I went to the theater on New Year's Eve and we noticed that they were in the process of replacing the seats in the theaters. This may have been the reason. What a great improvement!!!
The Carmike is NOT CLOSED DOWN. I called today and they're still open. I don't know why it was closed when Ginger went, but it is still open
