The best deal for current movies if you know when to go. I think they haven't changed anything since the 1980s so its kitsch/funk keeps us liking it in spite of the not-fabulous sound, "small" screens and uncomfortable seats. I love the place and the fact that they still serve popcorn in the round tubs, not those ridiculous bags all the corporate places have gone to.
Cancelled movie birthday party on us. no longer able to show disney films. management didnt handle the situation well. left me with no real alternatives! offered different movie which was not appropriate for the age group of to show a dvd at 50 dollars off. was not offered anything for my trouble. invitations were already out 1 week before date of party.
Has twice said movies are cancelled only to get the business of local camps when it unexpectedly rained. Then was rude and left ous out in the rain as they got into their busses. We are the local communlty and deserve better !
I love the Elwood theater--It has the latest movies first. It's like going to a good friend's home. Family run business. It has my vote
Elwood is a great family oriented "local" movie theater - We like it very much for the 'easy location', family oriented nature, and "current" movie choices.
