People are right, this theatre is only in business because it is the only thing for teens in this town. It is dirty, with concessions WAY overpriced. It should not cost 10.25 for a MEDIUM bag of popcorn and a MEDIUM coke, but thats what they charge! The folks at the counter are 'ok' they try. Of course they don't control the costs! And people are right about the teens that work there and the lack of understanding of customer service. I was in line to buy tickets and the ONE kid at the desk was texting, WHILE PEOPLE WERE IN LINE! geez I know the yahoo user will come on next and try and counter the one stars, but for real - if you are an adult, head on over to Chattanooga, where the seats are not worn out, tired and dirty, snacks are affordable, and the place is just cleaner.
I have been reading about the rudeness of the employees at this theater and you all are right, not only that but on the web site it says $5.50 for seniors and children I was over charged for my self 63 and my grandson age ll. I asked the person behind the counter how come it said on the website $5.50 and he charged me $6.25. He said it did not say that on the web site so I printed it out and intend to take to the them the next time I am in Cleveland. I also intend to write a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
i am a frequent customer to this theater, normally i don't mind the rude, slow, & lazy employees, but this last time i was recently pretty insulted by the manager. they offer free refills on large drinks & the large popcorn, i always take advantage of this, and me & my husband share, i usually get them topped off before the middle of the movie,on this occasion i was confronted by the cashier first asking if my movie was over!!!? i laughed and said it just started, then as she walks away the manager, says "um, mam' what movie are you seeing?" like i was lying or something!!! i was very insulted & just shocked. i kinda stuttered & almost forgot what movie it was, i responded & rolled my eyes, hoping he realized how insulting it was!
only theatre near Cleveland, it usually runs the major movies, occasionally won't show one that may be objectionable to the church folks and when kids are out of school, too many cartoon / kid type movies but overall a good theatre w 10 -12 choices. Much more reasonable prices than Chatt. and they have a senior fare/ matinee prices. Fri. and Sat. there are a lot of kids but go on a weeknight or Sun. and you won't have that.
This theatre is passable. Usually fairly clean. Stale popcorn and not great drinks. Either flat or overly carbonated. Teenagers are a problem. Running around being loud and txting, etc. Things that Teens do. We do not go to the movies often but this is the closest to our home. 30min. Our other choice is a bearly passable 2 theartre place in Athens Tn. Now that place is sad. The sound in the Cleveland theatre is not great and yes, the picture quality is about the same. I have been to nicer theatres. I miss those. It isnt worth traveling an hour to see a movie. You just look past the obvious and try to enjoy the movie.
