Too expensive, both ticket price and refreshments, I would go more often if it were affordable. Mary
Theater personnel are professional, but the theater seating is generally filthy and not unusually seats are broken down. Heavily in need of a facelift and better maintenance.
Went there last night with wife,of course the showing was sold our so we waited an extra hour for the next showing, the theater smelled like stale urine and saw the obligatory 23 minutes of commerciaks and previews, one large sodda and large popcorn, $13.50, we shared this, plus $9.50 a person, a whopping $32+.Being distracted by texters and thier bright small screens and talking of people about totally non movie related subjects. I yhink Carmike had a good idea to close this one down before $$$$$signs got in the way.
I never buy drinks or popcorn .They are too expensive . I have been placed in the wrong showing room .After the movie starts and you wonder what is going on someone will come in and say sorry but we placed you in the wrong showing , you need to move out and go down to your right and look for the sign . I guess they have these jacked up prices because so many Marines go there . Well you have the wrong impression Marines do-not make a lot of money belive me I know i've been there . My retirement doesn't allow me to go to a movie to offten .They have theaters in Emeral Isle and Morehead , the theaters are old but cheaper , so are the refreshments .
The movie ticket prices are much higher than other Carmikes esp on the matinees. Go online and look for yourself! There should be one way line for tickets. Seeing someone waltz up to the front counter after people have waited for an hour peeves me. I too would like to catch a movie earlier on the weekdays and be out by 2pm. You may have me at the door for a ticket price. But at the concessions is another story. I choose not to spend my hard earned cash there. Concession prices are just to high for what one gets. Based on concession prices alone...no star! Based on ticket price...no star! Service 1 star (that's being nice!)
