It did take me back to my childhood when we use to go to the drive in movies all the time. It was a really neat experience.

It was a good experience and made me think back to my childhood.

We just went last night and had a great time. Yes there are alot of rules and security staff, but you just need to look at the logistical nightmare of organizing, controlling and operating a large and complicated operation such as a huge drive in theater. The rules ensure that one or two rude patrons don't spoil the show by: having lights on, tailgates open and in the way, a van blocking your view, taking up two spaces, tearing through the crowded parking lot, blocking a space with lawn chairs,listening to loud music etc.etc.etc. The monlogue by the owner before and between shows is entertaining, and adds to the atmosphere. I had no problem with the staff, but realize that they are mostly kids and locals working for probably minnimum wage for the summer. If you have an issue with a staff member, I wouldn't let it forever keep you from enjoying this rare entertainment treasure, Just find the appropriate manager to complain to (after enough complaints, I would think that employee would dissapear) Anyway, all you have to do is follow a few obvious rules and have alot of fun watching three (yes, three) full feature films and eat good food that is reasonably priced, and have a laugh or two at the drive in obsessed owner's announcments and side comments.
