I will not go to the Vintage this year for the reason of their prices. It is not even close to the same quaility as a theatre but the draw was that it is a great price, and you didn't have to drop a bundle on food. We live extremely close but if I have to drop that kind of money I am going for the comfy seat and awesome picture and sound.
I'll still probably go once during the summer just because I love the drive-in, but the others who've commented on the prices are right. Charging the same amount per person as a regular theater -- and then charging you for the "privilege" of bringing in your own food -- it's ridiculous.
Growing up I heard about Drive Ins from my parents but not until last year did I go for myself. I had the best time. I thought it was worth every penny...I am looking forward to going again this year. I hope Vintage Drive In stays around forever.
It is getting to expensive. 8 dollars per person to get in and 5 dollars if you want to bring food. Being able to bring your own food was one of the draws of going to the drive in.
Nothing about this place is worth spending anywhere near what the owner is trying to make you pay...it was a fairly common occurrence to see the screen parking lots being filled far beyond capacity.
