The Beach Cities theater is okay, but has several areas in need of improvement: 1) Many of the armrests are worn thin with the plastic support underneath poking at your arm 2) Some of the sixteen theathers are rather small with small screens 3) BC attracts excessive urban out-of-towners which may make some patrons uncomfortable 4) Excessive cell phone use during movies
This theatre has really poor customer service. The people working at the snack stand are slow, lazy, and bordering on incompetant. The snack stand area is always filthy. Also, I don't advise going to shows at night on the weekends as they draw in a bad crowd and safety can be an issue. If you go to late afternoon/early evening shows you should have no problem. It's a shame because it has the potential to be a really nice facility.
This theater needs a major make-over in appearance and management. Everytime I make the mistake of going to this theater due to its close proximity to my home, I always regret it. It it is not an issue with the sound, or they play the worng movie in the wrong theater, they have employyes with very poor custmer service. The seats are broken, sagging and the decor is not kept up.
I fell in the theater on 08/17/09, and as I was walking toward the concession stand to get ice, you think anyone would help a bleeding, hurt person - NOT. They directed me to the concession stand and it was really pathetic that the ice was put into two gloves they use for food service. You would think a theater in a rich neighborhood like Manhattan Beach, CA, would have a proper first aid kit, or at least inform the manager. I will also be informing the theater (and possibly OSHA). Now I understand why the upper portion of the theater was closed and in such disarray (broken seats, unsafe stairs). I also had to sit closer than I like, and they could have at least let people know that was going to be the case before they bought their tickets.
wellll i like it put you people give the prices low for stuff
