I wanna say that this the theatre that I once saw "New Jack City," back in the day. You know the one starring Wesley, well anyway, it was the bomb! I thought they closed this place down but to hear that she is still holding it down, shoot you go girl!!!!
If you ever are in the Los Angeles area, don't miss visiting Old Town Music Hall. Whenever I am there on vacation, this theatre is a must. A cosy ambience that makes you feel like being in the 20's again, lovely decorations and lamps. Starting with live organ music and an impressive light show, followed by a sing-along with the audience (lyrics shown on screen) and finally a silent movie. Sometimes there are live bands playing. Open Fri - Sun.
I took my two children (8 and 11) for a Laurel and Hardy series. It started off with a great entertaining Worlitzer organ recital with all kinds of visual effects. My children liked it which is tough considering it didn't involve a video game. The follow up silent and talkie movies were entertaining also. Believe it or not my kids liked the silent movies the best. This is a must at least once. I think we are headed back tonight.
