'The Young Victoria' is playing this week at the 19th St. Theater. Why is that not known to Yahoo?
A theatre that shows fantastic plays/musicals and now year-long films with Theatre 514 across the street. The owners really have great taste--every film they choose is fantastic!
The building is gorgeous, they run films you can't see anywhere else, and it's cheaper than the bigger theaters. Really. It's, like, five bucks; try it out. And when you sit down, crane your neck up and admire the beautiful dome ceilings. Or just pretend you're classy and you're there to see an opera. Either way, it's not to be missed.
...to watch the good movies. This one-screen-theater shows the non-hollywood films, that are really worth seing. lots of foreign films, lots of independents. the atmosphere is fine, the prices are low. all in all a great movie experience.
