Ticket prices are in-line with other theaters. Tickets cost $8.50, not sure what it costs for matinees and other early shows. It says here on yahoo that tickets cost $8 but I was charged $17 for two tickets last time I went there so maybe the site is wrong or I just got over-charged (I am guessing the former). Also, buying tickets can be a pain when there is blockbuster playing as there is only one person working the ticket counter. Lines can get pretty long. Get there very early if there is a huge Star Wars/Lord of the Rings/Batman-type of movie. Otherwise you will be in line for a long time, most likely miss the first 5-10 minutes of the movie. I speak from experience. The concessions are pretty much what you would expect from a small theater, including the over-priced candy and snacks. Things like pizza and what-not are not on the menu here. Like all other theaters buying anything other than a large popcorn (or pop) is a compete ripoff. You do get one free refill for buying a large popcorn/pop (it costs $9.50 for both), just make sure to get that refill before 10:15 p.m. or you are SOL. Now onto the theater itself. The screens are kind of on the small side but like I said before, it is a small theater. Projector quality can be better but it is good enough. However, the seats are god-awful. They are the flattest, most scoliosis-inducing, crustiest pieces of crap you have ever had to sit on. Some of them even have a perpetual damp feeling to them. Now don't get me wrong, I am not some little Nancy afraid to get dirty but these things are just too nasty and uncomfortable. I am not a big guy (6'0", 160lbs) but damn these seats are just too small. So if you are built like god-damn Paul Bunyan stay away from this theater. Or just don't sit in front of me. Another thing I need to mention is that they don't show all the big movies that are out at the time. Just in the last month or so they have failed to show "9" or "Paranormal Activity", two movies I wanted to see. I was more than willing to drive to Moorhead to go see them but still, I would like to be able to watch them without having to drive 40 minutes out of town. Those two movies are just two recent examples. They sometimes don't even bother to show horror or violent action movies at all, even if the movie is #1 at the box office. I have been going to this theater since I was kid but I can no longer recommend it over driving to the Moorhead theaters. Only go to this place if it is your only option, or you just don't feel like driving. I still occasionally go there (I will deal with the horrible seats if the movie is good enough and I am too lazy to drive) but there are far better places to see a movie. Especially if it's a good movie, you owe it to yourself to go see it in a quality theater.
The Worst Cinema From the entrance it doesn't look bad, but it goes down hill from there. It is the dirtiest filthy Cinema I have ever been in. The seats are the worst I have ever had to sit in. The seats are wore out and need to be replaced. To expensive
it works for the locals! But the price is getting too steep for a family of 4!
