It's best to go when the old people are getting ready for the early bird special or off to bed, because they talk throughout the movie because they can't hear anything. P.S. Prices are set accordingly to inflation of the raise of minimum wage.
prices should be cut in half across the board amenities should never be as high as it is-- discourages movie goers--using netflix and save money
It used to be affordable, but they caught on to the trend of $7 drinks, $10 popcorn, $8 nachos, and no matinees. :(
It is an old theater that was part of the Cobb chain and then "re-done" by the Regal people. The seats are non-stadium anduncomfortable, the sound system crude and ancient and the overall atmosphere is old and NOT enjoyable by the standards set by competitors(e.g. Muvico, Cinemark, AMC). Its is a shame because their location takes in a large population that enjoy going to the movies, they show a very good selection of diverse movies yet there are no other theatres in the West Boca area to choose from... therefore no competition for them to upgrade to the newer technologies that today is neede to compete with Netflix and home-theatres. I hope the regal chain (which is HUGE) decides to make this theatre a Premier Theatre to enjoy movies. Thank you... Dr. G
In addition to the usual fare, Shadowood occasionally offers one or two indys or foreign films. If that suits your taste, Shadowood is a good choice of movie theater. The seating, while less luxurious than the seating at the Cineplex theaters, is comfortable, and management is fine. All things considered, Shadowood it a movie theater, not hospital.
