I'm so sad this place is gone - like a part of my childhood was cut away. It had a great old-school vibe and was kept up very nicely the last time I was there. The bottom line is St. Augustine needs more than one theater, even if the new one is a megaplex. I've seen the same trend happen in South Florida - the new place will be clogged very quickly, mark my words. It's in the best interest of the town if they reopen.

This theatre closed on April 30, 2009. Any coupons, discounts, etc. will be honored at other Regal locations. The closest one is in Jacksonville.

This theatre needs new management. All there is in the newspaper is the phone #. I called the number one day and the recording was by a woman who spoke so fast I could hardly understand her. But that was better than today. I called this morning and it was busy. Fine. But when I called back I got the screaming sound of a fax machine. Hung up and called again and it rang and rang and rang and rang. There is also no marquee outside anywhere to indicate what is playing - not even on the outside of the building.
