I travel a lot, and, in my experience, there isn't a better movie theatre in America than Cinemas Palme dOr. The news of the new seats is welcome, but even still, the selection of movies is unparalleled. It seems like, especially at this time of year, every movie nominated for the Oscars is playing there. In the l;ast few weeks I have seen, Up In the Air, The Hurt Locker, Precious, An Education and I just saw The Messenger this weekend. The customer service is fantastic and the customers are all grown ups. It's not a bunch of little kids running around and making noise. Also, they have a full coffee bar. Where else can I get a latte and a great arthouse movie?

This place is fantastic. You guys are so lucky to have this theater in the Valley. Every time I visit I go to this movie theater. And yes the best popcorn!! They have tons of flavors for the popcorn and unlike the River they don't charge for the toppings. Plus the ticket prices are lower. What a great spot. Looking forward to the new seats, that was the only negative about this place.

Great theater. They are installing all new seats in February 2010. Love what this adds to the community and they have the friendliest staff in the Desert. Awesome coffees and by far the best Popcorn.

The only Indie Movie theater

saw transamerica here 3 years ago. had a backache for a week from the seats. never went back. the most uncomfortable seats i ever sat in.
