I'm glad that I live in Houston because it has great museums, which are recognized to be outstanding nationally. MFAH is so huge and nice inside. Every 3-5 months it will hold different exhibitions, needless to say, they are excellent! Free admission on Thursday and long hour opening. They offer art lessons for all ages.
A first class museum, the building itself is a work of art and it is filled to the brim with more art work than I can list here. Worth the ten dollars for an adult. Ancient, classical works as well as modern representatives. In the heart of the museum district, near the entrance to Rice Univ. Houston should be pleased with this museum.
A great place to go especially on Thursdays!!
