This iconic theater should be the flagship of the Promenade, but instead it is run as an afterthought to god knows what else. If you show up with food and it is packaged and you are taking it home and have no intention of eating it there and you even volunteer to leave it at the front desk, you will still not be allowed in and will be forced to take a refund on your ticket or throw the food away - all of this by "wish I was not here but can't get a job anywhere else" staff. Add to this that despite listing the first three shows at matinee prices over the holidays and even after being advised by three people in line about this problem, continued to post the same misleading info on subsequent days and refused to honor the advertised prices. If you have the choice go to the Marina theaters for better prices, better service, better seats and an overall better experience (and you won't be accosted be the expanding army of increasingly aggressive "homeless" on the Promenade.
