YRC Cinemas rocks this place is great always clean,friendly and close to home

Living in Mathews, anywhere to go to a movie is quite a drive, but I have never had a good experience at this place. Once, we relied on their posting a showtime, drove 45 minuted to the show, and they weren't even playing the movie. The behavior of the kids at the movies is terrible. 3x we have had a horrible experience because kids were throwing food, running in the aisles, or talking and laughing so loud you could not hear the film. Good luck trying to complain, since you can never find someone over 16 at the theatre, much less when you need assistance, there's no one to be found. I have left to find assistance, and the entire front area was deserted. Maybe they all went on a break?! Go anywhere else if you can help it!!!!!!

The theater is clean as are the bathrooms. The kids behind the concessions are hit and miss, but most try really hard to be polite and provide good service. I have only had one encounter with the manager -- my PTA discount had not been applied to my ticket sale so I asked to be refunded the discount amount that should have been applied. I got the money back, but the manager was a total jerk. Must have been the same guy previous reviewer ran into. Generally speaking, if you don't have to deal with the manager, I think it's worth it to support this local business. Perhaps the Manager should realize that it's not really that much of a drive to make it to Kiln Creek and he should be thankful for those that do decide to spend money at his establishment.
