i have been there when i was 2 it is big so go there is fun thing to buy and watch best movie go go go to ballston common
This is one of my favorite theatres in town. I like to go in the middle of the week for a matinee immediately after work. It is right along the Metro, it is not cheap. What theatre in the area in a decent neighborhood is?!? I am a big fan of Rock Bottom so I will grab a pint and an appetizer before or after my film. I like that it is in a mall so if I am early I can shop a little. The mall is sad, but it is better than sitting in a parking lot. The theatre itself is fairly clean, the staff are usually nice, and being a Regal theatre they have several good deals for cardholders.
Theater was 85 degrees+ for our movie. Also, about 80 minutes in, the reel suddenly stopped playing and the lights went on. People went to complain about the heat/movie being stopped but it took several minutes for the movie to start playing again and the temperature ac was never fixed. After the show, they gave everyone a free ticket for another movie at a Regal theater, but they refused to refund my initial ($11!) ticket instead. Overall, a terrible terrible experience.
theatre is well staffed and clean, granted like most movie theatres a little pricy but the stadium seating and good selection makes up for it. Additionally there are a number of great restaurants and hang out joints in the mall or close by. Tutte Benne just across the street on the Baileys pub side, Rock Bottom (excellent drafts) , Chevys, Baileys and a mediocre food court. Across the street on the metro side is Ted Montana Grill, and an excellent sushi and chinese restaurant or the Front Page well known for the poor service but great sandwiches.
its a good theater with stadium seating but a little more expensive than other places, the one downside is after the movie, there aren't many places to hang out afterwards
