This place is a mess and really not worth the time or money. There is no kind of customer service here. I would advise you to just wait till the new the theater opens at the mall.

I agree with all of the negative comments that were previously posted. In 2009, this Carmike 8 is still one of the worst, unprofessional places that I have ever attended. The lazy employees and only provide inadequate service and the managers are impolite, offensive, and vulgar to their customers. Frequently, you have to spend a long time finding someone who can sell you tickets or concessions. Whenever you politely complain tell the managers about the terrible service, they neglect your needs and don't give you any help at all. The theaters are also messy, unclean, and obviously filled with germs. I recommend going to another city to watch movies or wait for the great, new Regal Theater that's coming to Lynchburg, VA.

The Carmike 8 Theater of Lynchburg, VA is an absolute disgrace to the city. All of the employees are terrible workers and the managers are the most unhelpful and unprofessional people that I have ever seen. The managers are rude and disrespectful when you ask them logical questions or have a righteous complaint about the hideous conditions of the theater. The bathrooms are unsanitary and there is popcorn and spilled drinks all over the seats and floors of the theater as soon as we sit down to watch the previews for the movie. The managers don't even respect the employees of Carmike 8. For example, a female manager recently became angry with a respectable concession worker because he walked away from the customers for about 45 seconds when he was clearly stressed out and nervous from the numerous customers that he was respectfully serving. In conclusion, if you want to go to a movie theater in Lynchburg, VA, don't go to Carmike 8 because you will be severely disappointed.

I REALLY LIKE THIS PLACE I MEAN YEAH IT HAS ITS PROBLEMS BUT WHAT PLACE DOSENT I LIKE THE MOOD OF THE PLACE THE BEST THE POPCORN IS FRESH THEY JUST KEEP IT IN BAGS BELIEVE ME I THOUGHT THAT THEY HAD IT DELIVERED BUT NO IT IS FRESH ONE THING I THINK WOULD HELP IMPROVE THE PLACE IS GET MORE RECENT MOVIES SO THAT THEY CAN HAVE LARGER CROWDS THERE FOR MAKE MORE MONEY AND THEREFORE FIX THE PLACE UP WELL THANKS HAVE A GREAT DAY CIAO

the service here is slow and it's almost like they don't care if you're there or not. you should always bring a coat (even in summer) because every one of the theaters stays freezing cold. many seats are broken and the popcorn comes shipped to them in a bag, not fresh popped.
