It's the middle of June 2009, and unfortunately the cinema is still not opened. My husband and I started going quite frequently after the renovations had been made. I really wish it would re-open. It's very near our home, so I miss the convenience. It was inexpensive as well. Hope to see it back up & running soon!
This theatre has been closed since December 2008. They had just finished renovating it, too.
I'm not sure why anyone would post a review such as the one immediately below under these circumstances.
The last time that I went to this cinema it was nasty with trash all over the floors and the seats smelled like urine. thank god that they closed it down because all it was good for was for kids to go in and sell drugs and mess around without anyone being able to see what they were doing.
The cinema is currently (11/26/2008) undergoing a transition of new ownership and new management and CinaStar Corp will be taking over. We have dismissed all employees and management and we will be working to improve the experience. We have a lot of issues to work on and this we know but we believe over time our 3 stage strategy will provide Alvin with a better cinematic experience. The theater received a great deal of damage from Ike and never reopened. Now it is for sale. Gues you will have to find another theater to go to!
